Après le succès d’Escale en Méditerranée romaine, le musée Narbo Via proposede poursuivre le voyage avec Mémoires de lagune, une exposition consacrée à l’histoire de la lagune narbonnaise.

En partenariat avec les Archives départementales de l’Aude et le Parc naturel régional de la Narbonnaise en Méditerranée.
De Narbonne à Port-la-Nouvelle s’étend un espace singulier où alternent étangs, marécages, roselières, collines et plans d’eau. Cette vaste lagune constitue depuis des millénaires une frontière mouvante entre la terre et la mer. Investi dès l’Antiquité pour accueillir les structures portuaires de l’antique Narbo Martius, ce territoire n’a cessé d’être façonné par les activités humaines. Si les vestiges du port antique sont aujourd’hui complètement invisibles, enfouis sous les sédiments, la lagune demeure le théâtre d’innombrables pratiques qui, hier comme aujourd’hui, transforment et racontent ce milieu unique.
Musée Narbo Via
NarbonneAu musée Narbo Via, les visiteurs peuvent parcourir l’histoire de Narbo Martius (le nom latin de Narbonne), première colonie romaine fondée en Gaule en 118 avant notre ère, qui fut durant près de cinq siècles la capitale d’un vaste territoire allant des Pyrénées aux Alpes, et l’un des plus grands ports de la Méditerranée. L'Etablissement public de coopération culturelle (EPCC) Narbo Via comprend le village des potiers Amphoralis à Sallèles-d’Aude, les galeries souterraines de l’Horreum au coeur de Narbonne, ainsi que le musée Narbo Via à l'entrée Est de Narbonne. Financé par la Région Occitanie et conçu par l’architecte britannique Norman Foster, il bénéficie d'une gouvernance partenariale composée de la Région Occitanie, la Communauté d'Agglomération du Grand Narbonne, la Ville de Narbonne et l'Etat.
